The Pendulum - Tarah Scott

Two men.
Two murderers.
Two demands for the promisedpayment of marriage.
Murder, deceit, and fraud pull Lady Arin Keith between these men.
Which one will bed her, claim her...own her?

Published author Tarah Scott cut her teeth on books such as The Bobbsey Twins (yes, she is dating herself!) Nancy Drew, Aesop's Fables, The Arabian Knights, and Grimms Fairy Tales. Authors such as Georgette Heyer, Zane Grey, and Mark Twain filled her teenage years. Her favorite book is a Tale of Two Cities, with Gone With the Wind as a close second. Favorite modern authors are Stephen King, Ann Rice, Amanda Quick, and Johanna Lindsey.

Born in New Mexico, Tarah grew up in the Southwest. Fifteen years ago, she relocated to Westchester County, New York, where she and her daughter reside in a lakeside community. When not working, writing, or reading--who are we kidding? She's always working, writing, or reading. Oh! There is her daughter. They do manage to spend a lot of time together.

Q: What will readers like about your book?

People who favor books written in the tradition of dark, sexy, romantic medieval fiction will like The Pendulum:Legacy of the Celtic Brooch. Internal struggles keep the heroine obsessed with proving that her sister couldn't have committed the unforgivable sin of suicide. While the hero works to save her from herself--and the man who might be her sister's killer.

Q: Why did you self publish?

I've begun my self publishing with my backlist in order to get my feet wet in the self pub world. I believe self publishing must be part of a fiction writers career arc.

Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre?

Some of my favorite historical romance authors are Amanda Quick, Catherine Coulter and Johanna Lindsey.
